This policy covers this personal website and the private Job Search Agent operated by Abdalaziz Elbahnasy for his own job-search workflow.
The website
This is a static professional website. It does not provide a Google sign-in, connect to a visitor’s Gmail account, or collect application submissions. No analytics scripts, advertising trackers, contact forms or cookies are added by the site itself.
When hosted on Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information and request logs, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Email and LinkedIn links open external services, whose own policies apply.
The private Job Search Agent
The Job Search Agent is private personal-use software, operated solely by its owner. It is not a public service and does not invite visitors to connect their accounts. Its Gmail integration supports organizing and tracking the owner’s personal job search.
Gmail access and purpose
When the owner authorizes the integration, the agent requests only the Gmail read-only scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly. This permits reading Gmail data; it does not permit sending, deleting or modifying messages.
The agent processes job alerts, application confirmations, recruiter and employer communications, interview invitations, rejections, offers and related job-search messages. It uses this information to identify opportunities, associate messages with applications, track application stages and flag items for the owner’s review. It does not automatically follow email links or download attachments.
Processing and retained information
Raw email bodies, HTML, snippets and message payloads are processed transiently and are not persisted by default. The standard workflow does not store them in its operational database.
Limited structured metadata and extracted job or application information may be retained for synchronization, deduplication, lifecycle tracking and auditability. This can include:
- Message and thread identifiers, sender information, subjects and timestamps.
- Job or application references, extracted company or role information, and application-stage classifications.
- Matching evidence, confidence scores, security flags, review decisions and audit events.
- Account identity, synchronization cursors and synchronization timestamps.
Structured records can still contain personal information. They are retained in the owner-controlled job-search system while needed for the personal workflow and its audit history. No fixed automatic deletion schedule is currently specified; the owner can review and delete retained records and any copies or backups they control.
Use and disclosure
Google user data is used only to support the owner’s personal job-search workflow. It is not sold, used for advertising, shared for unrelated purposes, or used to train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models. This public website does not receive or expose mailbox data.
Use of data received through Google APIs must comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including their Limited Use requirements. Any future change involving an external processor or a different use of email data must be reflected in this policy and the owner’s authorization before it is enabled.
Access, security and deletion
The owner controls access to the local agent and its retained records. The configured Gmail workflow stores OAuth credentials in Windows Credential Manager, using operating-system protection, rather than in the website’s files.
The owner can stop synchronization and revoke the agent’s access through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized retrieval; it does not itself delete records already held in the local system. Those records, related exports and backups must be removed separately by the owner.
