My work starts with understanding how people actually run their businesses. From merchant workflows to fragmented markets, I look for the gap between what exists and what would make a meaningful difference.
I’ve co-founded commerce and retail-tech businesses, shaped product direction, built partnerships and operating systems, and evaluated new ventures with studio leadership. The common thread: bringing clarity to an uncertain opportunity, then helping a team execute.
Current focus
Building SahlCart. Connecting commerce workflows with SaaS and practical AI-enabled tools. Egypt is the primary focus, with a broader MENA strategy, registered users across the region and a small number of active users outside Egypt.

From a narrow tool to a broader commerce platform.
Direct research with sellers and e-commerce operators informed a strategic reset: a wider product vision, a rebuilt roadmap and a path to beta launch. The work connects stores, landing pages and order workflows, including AI-generated pages that remain editable in a visual builder.
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
July 2020 — January 2023
Building retail software around the merchant.
Co-founded a Techstars Riyadh portfolio company, shaping product and market strategy across POS, inventory and multi-branch operations. Built partnerships and cross-functional operating rhythms as the team grew to 30+ employees.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia, with organic adoption in four additional markets. Figures reflect the period of my involvement.
Venture Builder
March — November 2023
Turning opportunities into venture decisions.
Worked with board and venture-studio leadership on market validation, business models and investment logic. Assessed and developed approximately 12 venture opportunities, including an FMCG procurement marketplace concept.
